How do I configure Google Workspace so that learners can access the Security Awareness and Training Service from the Google Apps Icon?

When configuring Google Workspace for Single Sign-On, a shortcut link is added to the Google Apps Icon after the user logs in to Google:

If users attempt to access this icon BEFORE the user is added to the tenant (via manual create, .csv import or LDAP synchronization), an account is created on the Security Awareness and Training Service Default Tenant (and not your specific tenant).

If this happens, you will not see the user in your tenant user list. The account will need to be deleted and re-created.

To avoid this behavior, you can configure the Start Link in the Google Workspace Admin App:

The url that is provided must match the following format: https://app.training.fortinet.com/local/bridge/launch.php?name=<tenant name>

Where {tenant name} is the name of your tenant. This tenant name must be provided by the Information Security Awareness and Training Service Help Desk. Open a ticket and explain what you are trying to do and that you require the tenant name. One of our specialists can provide this.

Step by Step Guide:

1.) From the navigation menu on the left hand side of the screen, select Apps

2.) Select Web and mobile apps sub item:

3.) Click on the name of the app you created for SSO SAML2 - Security Awareness and Training Service:

4.) Expand the Service provider details section by clicking the expand icon on the right:

5.) Enter the following url in the Start URL field: https://app.training.fortinet.com/local/bridge/launch.php?name=<tenant_name>  (You can get your tenant name by opening a ticket and requesting your tenant name. Send an email to [email protected])
